Liberator

Introduction

Liberator is a mechanical smoke extract ventilator which may be used for day to day ventilation as well as for smoke extract. Liberator meets the following time/ temperature classifications of EN 12101-3: F300 (300°C for 60 minutes).

Liberator is suited to most industrial and commercial buildings and come in these options:

  1. T-Liberator: Roof mounted, with vertical discharge.

  2. W-Liberator: Wall mounted, with horizontal discharge.

  3. 800mm – 1000mm nominal fan sizes.

The units casing and the body of the termination louvre are manufactured from galvanized, with the termination louvre blades being manufactured from a suitable grade aluminium.

W-Liberator (EuroCo / AWL ):

The shutter arrangement is a louvred ventilator. The shutter version with a louvred ventilator as termination is closed and held closed by a rotary electric motor.

In the event of fire, the louvres open under force of the spring, and are held open. This version is suitable only for installation into walls.

Both shutter versions have a fusible link to open the shutter at a pre-defined temperature.

T-Liberator (Standard / Low Profile):

This unit is exclusively for use on roofs. It has four non-return shutters which close when the unit stops, preventing rain entry. An aerodynamic cowl ensures that the air resistance is kept to a minimum, thereby reducing running costs and enhancing performance.
