What is a Louvre?

Louvre

The definition of a Louvre can be mistaken often but the more important question is how does it help you?

The ideal situation would be to design a Louvre system that allows 100% airflow but also one that offers 100% Rain Defence.

Unfortunately this is not possible as there is no such thing as a perfect Louvre and this is based on many reasons including, maximum airflow allows rain penetration or maximum rain defence giving almost no airflow. Even in a well built system, an open door can cause the entire system to not function as expected.

Luckily most of the problems arising are manageable with a well designed system, customised to the building requiring it.

Whether priority of the Louvres is architectural, rain defence or air flow, our various systems allow us to create a working environment that meets the needs of the building. There is also the consideration of outside influences like birds, insects, weather, is the panel a door, noise attenuation and much more but our systems are capable of meeting these expectations.
